My name is Victoria and I am an experienced and qualified teacher of English. I have a Master’s degree in Pedagogy. This qualification enables me to really understand the way people learn, and to teach you in a way that is effective, progressive and enjoyable!

Since I believe that the learning environment is one of the keys to successful language learning, I endeavour to make students feel comfortable and content in my lessons: to ask questions if they are unsure and keep an easy but rewarding pace of learning.

Depending on how my students feel they learn English the most effectively, I adapt my lessons to use materials that give them the best results possible. For instance, some students find the continuity of a coursebook effective, while others prefer to be more flexible with articles and podcasts. I know from experience that every student is unique.

In my lessons, I make the students the focus of the lessons; I guide them without spoon-feeding them. I aim to enable my students to study independently so that they can take what I teach them, and shape it into knowledge that is meaningful to them at home. Lesson time itself accounts for such a small percentage of what is required to reach any language level goal- students must be prepared to continue their studying in their own time outside of lessons.

On this note, I will give homework so that students are always able to practise what we have together learned in class. This in turn aids the process of learning, practising and reviewing.

I find teaching English very rewarding. I love to help my students to make breakthroughs in English and I feel so happy when I see you making progress.
