The Time I-Clic Racer Carboflex features a composite body and a steel axle for some added affordability and only a small increase in weight over its carbon big brother. With their patented CarboFlex the design is truly innovative and we've been impressed. The CarboFlex is a carbon blade under the rear retention device that provides the "spring" to the clamp. Time employees many other innovative features that put it in a class of its own such as their I-Clic pre-opening automatic engagement and their adjustable release angle feeling. The float is /- 5 degrees and the Q-factor is optimized at 2.5. This pedal releases at 15 degrees.
